Cricket ™ 2 is a plug and play camera accessory that enables low light imaging and extremely high shutter speed for CMOS and CCD cameras. Cricket ™ Equipped with an IIT (Image Enhancement Tube) based on a single MCP (Microchannel Plate), it can achieve an integrated camera upgrade and achieve high-resolution, low light level imaging. Through direct C interface accessories and USB power supply, Cricket ™ 2 provides unparalleled connectivity standards.
High speed gating as low as 3ns for time-domain imaging using a photocathode as an electro-optic shutter. The repetition rate in burst mode can reach up to 300 kHz and 2.5 MHz. Cricket ™ 2 is an integrated solution that combines optical and electronic components.

Parameter Description
Cricket adopts a universal C-port interface, which is easy to connect, focus and use.
Cricket integrates an 18mm image intensifier, a fiber anode window, and a power supply internally. Through the C-port connection, Cricket can be easily used for any camera and lens, making it easy to turn any camera into an enhanced camera for physics, fluorescence imaging, plasma research, or corona detection.
In addition to providing image enhancement, Cricket can also convert ultraviolet and near-infrared photons into green light, which can match the spectral response of solid-state cameras. A time resolution of up to 3ns can be achieved through an optional gating module. Cricket supports 1 μ lx sensitivity or single photon counting.
Cricket is compatible with most CCD, CMOS, EMCCD, and sCMOS cameras and is a physical FLIM、 Ideal choice for many application fields such as plasma research and corona detection.

Image enhancement tube:
basic operation
IIT is embedded in Cricket ™2The actual image enhancement device in China can enhance low light images up to 400000 times with a single MCP based IIT.The input optical image is converted into photoelectrons at the photocathode.Photoelectrons are attracted to the MCP by an electric field, where they collide multiple times on the inner wall, doubling by thousands of times. Then the electrons collide with the fluorescent screen, where they are converted back into optical images.
